Your Noche Buena Wine Pairing For 2021

It’s the time of the year again when families gather together to welcome Christmas day! Are your long tables ready for the Noche Buena? We know you’re now busy planning and preparing what food to serve. Well, we got you covered!

To add some Christmas cheer, we listed down our favorite Noche Buena dishes and some great wine pairing:

Lumpia

The favorite and most versatile Filipino food, Lumpia. This is usually crispy fried with either beef, pork or even veggies. The Tenute Rossetti Rosso Toscana IGT is the best pick, as its fresh acidity will cut through the oiliness of the lumpia nicely so every bite tastes like your first one.

Light ruby-red, with scents of wild berry fruits and red flowers. Dry and fresh, with nice body and smooth tannins. It is excellent with pasta, light meat dishes and fresh cheese.

Chicken Inasal

For something savory, the delicious Chicken Inasal is a crowd favorite not only during Noche Buena, but for any festive occasion. The Luccarelli Bianco Puglia IGP is a great choice for a savory dish because it adds a nice tangy flavor to the chicken.

Straw yellow colour with golden reflections; intense and persistent aroma, fruity, with ripe peach and passion-fruit scent and with mandarin notes. Fresh wine, easy to drink, balanced and persistent.

 Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese is another crowd favorite that can be typically found in a Noche Buena spread. A good Bolognese Sauce is rich, thick and has beautiful depth of flavor, which makes it well-loved in almost any Filipino household! Best paired with Caldora Sangiovese Terre di Chieti IGT, a refreshing and medium bodied wine that will complement well with the rich and meaty flavor of this dish.

Garnet red. Intense and persistent, fruity (strawberry and black cherry) with a winy note and wood flavour. Medium body, good tannins and well-balanced. Ready to drink. Easy to drink, well with salami, rich main courses, meat and cheese.

 Blueberry Cheesecake

You can never go wrong for having Blueberry Cheesecake for dessert, a great pairing for this type of cake would be Montelvini Promosso Spumante Rosso Dolce, a dessert wine, has a very fruity aroma and engaging hints of mixed berries, especially of strawberry. The sweetness in this sparkling red wine pairs perfectly with this type of dessert.

The color is ruby red, with purple highlights. The aroma is intense and persistent, strongly fruity.   It combines perfectly with cakes, desserts or dry patisserie.

With these excellent wine and food pairing, we guarantee you a cheerful Noche Buena. Happy Holidays!
